FAQs

An apostille is a form of certification that authenticates documents for use in countries that are part of the Hague Convention. It verifies the origin of a public document and ensures its international acceptance.

If you're planning to use your document in a foreign country that requires an apostille, you will need to check the specific requirements of that country or consult our services for more guidance.

The processing time for an apostille can vary depending on the document and jurisdiction. Generally, it takes anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. Our team can provide you with the most accurate estimates based on your specific needs.

Yes, we offer comprehensive services, including notarization, apostille, and document authentication, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the process.

The main difference between an apostille and authentication is the number of steps required for a Canadian document to be legally recognized abroad. Since January 11, 2024, an apostille is a simplified, one-step certificate issued for use in countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention (such as the USA, UK, or Mexico), effectively bypassing the need for embassy involvement. In contrast, authentication is only the first step in a two-step process for non-Hague countries (such as Nigeria); once a document is authenticated by a Canadian authority, it must then undergo a second step called "legalization" at the destination country's embassy or consulate.
